Grand Opening

Customer: Generator Hostels / Patron Capital

Location: Hamburg

Participants: approx. 200 VIP & 700 hostel guests

Task: To design and realise the official opening of the new location by addressing two completely different target groups: international investors, project developers and bankers on the one hand and young, trendy backpackers on the other hand.

Realisation: ZELFMADE realised a stylish opening event while the hostel was still running, which highlighted both the hostel's design and international focus and the local USP in the different public and closed areas, from event design to media content.

In keeping with the young and innovative brand, Lexy & K-Paul, one of the most successful German DJ duos, who were awarded with an Echo in 2001, took to the stage at the unique event location of "Klockmannhaus", where the Beatles made their first ever recording together, "Summertime".

Generator Hostels are leaders in Europe with over 30,000 overnight guests a month: with locations in London, Copenhagen, Hamburg and Dublin and also in Berlin Mitte and Barcelona from 2013.
